Liturgy Calendar Online

The Liturgy committee serves the community by planning liturgies and encouraging people to use their gifts to enhance our prayer and worship. 

Responsibilities include:

1. Recruit, train and supervise Liturgical Ministers
2. Plan Liturgies and special services
3. Educate the community on Liturgical issues
4. Establish guidelines for parish prayer and for leaders of liturgical prayer in accordance with the Diocesan Office of Worship and Liturgical Documents
5. Assist the Arts and Environment Committee in planning the Liturgical environment when necessary.

What Do We Do?

Arts and Environment
 Provides an attractive environment during the seasons of the church year.

Eucharistic Bread Makers 
Parishioners who bake the Eucharistic Bread for the Masses. 

Eucharistic Ministers
 Distribute Communion during Mass and for the sick and shut-ins.

Music Ministry 
Is composed of organists, pianists, various instrumentalists, cantors, and the choir. Music is provided at Masses and services to enhance worship. 

Proclaimers
 Proclaim the Word during Masses.

Sacristans
Prepare for the Mass, assist the priest with special instructions and put items away after the Mass.

Ushers 
Assist persons with special needs, hand out bulletins, and seat visitors. Ushers also take the collection, set up chairs when necessary, and organize the offertory procession.

Greeters
Meet and greet people coming into the church

Altar Servers 
Assist the priest during Mass and other Liturgical Events. Servers must be going into fifth grade to volunteer.

Liturgy committee also sponsors other events to enrich parish life.
