Strategic Planning

Building Faith, Family, Future

Taken from a talk at Masses on May 12 and 13, 2018

My name is Lori Zeitler, and I have been a parishioner here for almost 40 years. First with my parents, Bob and Judy Tempero, and then with my son Colton and husband Jeff. This parish has been the foundation for every aspect of my life, so when Father asked me to participate on a committee looking at the feasibility of a Parish Center, I readily agreed. The results of the committee's work were outlined in the letter you received this week in the mail. The proposed center will include multi-purpose classroom space for both child and adult faith formation, enhanced social facilities, a new lobby and updated restroom facilities.

As a parishioner, a parent, and quite honestly someone who knows the value of every dollar I earn, I believe very strongly in this project. While it may have been precipitated by the loss of our PSR space at Uniontown Elementary, it is really about much more than that. It is an opportunity for parents to not just drop off their children for PSR and leave, but to stay and participate in their own faith development. An opportunity to truly center our parish. An opportunity to gather together and socialize in faith with those within our parish and within our community. I believe the diocese has shown their faith and confidence in our parish by continuing to allow it to operate as an independent parish. This is our opportunity to respond with a resounding "yes, we are a strong and vibrant parish, willing to invest in our future!"

Thank you, and God Bless
