Discipleship

disciple maker index

In the Spring of 2024, Holy Spirit parishioners participated in a Disciple Maker Index survey to help us call forth missionary disciples (i.e. people who bring others to know Jesus and build a parish where we encounter Jesus on a personal level).

From the results, two areas of focus were identified for follow-up:

  • Confidence in Church Teachings
  • Parish Forms Me as a Disciple of Jesus

In order to help increase parishioner confidence in Catholic teaching

regarding the following 3 Church teachings:

  1. Catholic Social Teaching
  2. The Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist
  3. The Virgin Mary & the Saints

In response to these needs we have created this page of curated information for parishioners to

explore these teachings and deepen their understanding on these topics

Catholic social teaching is a central and essential element of our faith. Its roots are in the Hebrew prophets who announced God's special love for the poor and called God's people to a covenant of love and justice.
